Alton “Al” Shackelford was called by the Lord to preach in 1979 and is presently the Pastor of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church in Zebulon, Georgia. Al has seen this church grow from its humble beginnings in his front yard in 1995 with less than two dozen members, to become one of the fastest growing churches in this area. Al understands that Christian families are God’s plan and he believes firmly that the Bible is the most important tool in laying a foundation of faith within the family structure and for encouraging parents to raise their children according to the example and admonition of the Lord. Al truly has a heart for Jesus and sharing the good news of the gospel in the community he calls home. Al is an active citizen and parent in the community and a former member of the Pike County School Board where he served as Chairman.     Al began writing this book at the urging of the Holy Spirit and it has been a work of love taking some five or more years from inception to completion. It is his hope that the parents of the world today will use the infallible Word of God to enlighten the next generation of children.
